NCC is the largest youth uniformed group in Singapore, with 145 units and over 11,000 members. It provides youths with opportunities for personal and leadership development, primarily through adventurous, rugged, military-related activities.

The SAF and RSAF share a close relationship with NCC Air, supporting the Corps in the conduct of trainings and courses such as shooting, flight experiences, and knowledge of the RSAF. Cadets are also given opportunities to observe and experience military training through attachments and visits to the different vocations.
